Apr. 10--The thoughts of losing the final employment piece of a 98-year-old High Point business giant cuts Jim Millis to the quick.
Sara Lee made public Monday plans to move the company's remaining work force in High Point to a proposed expanded facility in Winston-Salem. It is seeking a combined $1 million in financial assistance from the city of Winston-Salem and Forsyth County.
The former owner of Adams-Millis Corp. said he had held out hope since he sold the business to Sara Lee Corp. in 1988 that it would keep at least an office in the city. That was even ...
