On 19 November 2001 the Okinawa Chapter had a double treat. First they had a membership luncheon meeting, with a special guest speaker Mr. Tom DeMicke, Marketing Director, Senon Corporation. The meeting was held at the Kadena NCO Club. Mr. DeMicke is a retired Air Force Transporter, so he was already familiar with NDTA. Not only does Senon manage the airport security (metal detector, scanning baggage, checking ID, etc.) at the AMC terminals at Yokota Air Base and Kadena Air Base Japan, but they also manage all the school buses for DoD's children on Okinawa. These buses are equipped with GPS and all students have to swipe their ID card through a scanner when they get on and ...
