While continuing to work mainly with stuffed fabric, Clarina Bezzola has shifted from freestanding sculptures to wearable garments. Seven such works were recently exhibited along with gouache studies and photographs of the artist wearing her own sartorial creations. Recalling certain works by Jana Sterbak and Beverly Semmes, Bezzola's fabric sculptures articulate a similar feminist critique of women's fashion.
