Janis Kennedy's tropical fish gracefully glide around the coral in her aquarium. But this is not your typical fish tank on a stand in the basement. Kennedy's 500-gallon saltwater aquarium mirrors a tiny part of the ocean. The marine tank, home for vibrantly colored exotic saltwater fish, is a living artwork and the centerpiece of her Brooklyn Center family room.
The shiny and delicate finned jewels - ranging from a Picasso trigger with its long yellow snout to a shy queen angelfish - add life and movement to the room and lend a calming presence.
