ORIGINAL 'ROBOCOP' FOR JUNE 1; 'ROBOCOP 2' OPENS JUNE 22
LOS ANGELES, May 25 /PRNewswire/ -- "RoboCop," the original adventure of the futuristic crime-fighter, will be released in exclusive engagements in selected markets on Friday, June 1, it was announced today by Orion Pictures.
The special engagements pave the way for the national opening of "RoboCop 2" three weeks later, on Friday, June 22.
A visionary thriller laced with dark, prophetic humor, "RoboCop" was released by Orion during the summer of 1987 to critical acclaim and box-office impact, grossing over $50 million.
