The oldest civilizations tend to have the most evolved cuisines. Witness the food of the Middle East: though the ingredients are often humble, when properly prepared, they're subtle and sophisticated.
We'd been hearing good things about Sepal for years. It's a modest, friendly place, and diners are given a warm welcome. Unfortunately, the food, though pleasant enough, doesn't quite come up to the high-water mark set elsewhere for this cuisine.
