Efforts to find a buyer for the New England Brewing Co., a micro and pub brewery located in Norwalk, CT, have failed, and the brewery is to be dismantled.
The brewery closed six months ago, while the new owner, a real estate developer, tried to find someone willing to operate the plant.
"There were just no takers," said Clay Fowler, president of The Spinnaker Cos. of Stamford, which owns the brewery and the nearby Lock Art & Technology Center. "That facility as a beer-manufacturing facility is no longer."
