Brandon Nystrom won the 400 with a time of 50.8 and also captured the 200 to lead Junction City to the boys team title at the Junction City Invitational track and field meet Saturday.
The Tigers scored 736 1/2 points to finish comfortably ahead of Stayton (648), Newport (642 1/2 ), Sweet Home (568 1/2 ), Elmira (548 1/2 ), Philomath (522), Sisters (455) and Toledo (285).
Elmira's Caleb Dysert cleared 6-4 to win the high jump and also finished first in the 110 high hurdles. Other leading marks were a 48-6 1/2 in the shot put by Steve Cushing of Elmira and a 13-0 in the pole vault by Philomath's Robert McGarry.
