The Eugene City Council wants your thoughts on revisions to a complex, 400-page document called the updated land use code.

But the problem is, even the people who've been working on the codes for the past five years - including those in opposition - are hard pressed to summarize what, exactly, it means to the individual Eugene resident.

"Land use planning is pretty esoteric to most people," City Councilor David Kelly said. "It's the challenge of translating the esoteric to the real."
