You'll have to wait until Aug. 23 to ride the James E. Strates Show rides on the midway at the New York State Fair.
But you won't have to wait until then to have fun at the Fairgrounds.
From June 1 through mid-August, there are 36 different major events booked at the Empire Expo Center, home of the State Fair.
Pygmy goats and Arabian horses will be prancing around rings; folks will be dancing to the blues, disco, rock and country music; deals will be negotiated at computer shows; engines will be screaming at a DIRT race; the Syracuse Symphony Orchestra will be playing patriotic tunes; jewels will be ...
