Apr. 15--More than 130 million Americans will file their taxes this year, many of them making midnight post office runs tonight to hand in their forms at deadline.
Bill Conklin of Denver won't be among them. Not today, Tax Day, nor any other day this year, nor any year to come. He believes the Fifth Amendment to the Constitution gives him the right to avoid self-incrimination that might result from filling out tax forms.
Jim Lundberg of San Diego hasn't filed for 10 years and won't "until they fix the monster they've created" at the IRS. He lets them take withholding taxes ...
