ABIX via COMTEX) -- Brian Salter will take up his duties as the new CEO of the Securities Institute in the week ending 18 April 2002. Salter joins the Institute from the Commonwealth Bank, where he was chief manager of banking services. In outlining his vision for the Institute, Salter says he wants to establish alliances with other industry bodies, including CPA Australia and the Financial Planning Association. These alliances, says Salter, could involve members of the other bodies accessing its education services.
