Blame Minnesota's weird weather if the spring allergy season seems worse than normal.
The frigid March followed by a sudden onset of summery weather means noses across the state are getting a more concentrated dose of sniffle- and sneeze-inducing tree pollen than they normally do, say allergists and companies that track pollen levels. Trees are also producing more pollen, thanks to the mild winter.
"It's nowhere near the worst it's ever been, but it's definitely going to be a severe tree pollen season, much more severe than last year," said Dennis Gebhard, president of the Multidata office in St. Louis Park. ...
