Grande Paroisse, the fertilizers subsidiary of Atofina, says it has decided not to resume production at its Toulouse, France site following a fatal explosion there last September (CW, Feb. 13, p. 13). The company says it could not reopen the site before 2004 at the earliest, and it would not expect to regain marker share lost during that period. It also cites "concerns" among local residents, and "misgivings" expressed by central and regional government over the possible reopening of the sire.
