LONDON _ With violence raging in the Middle East, support for the Palestinian cause has surged in Europe in recent weeks as the tactics of the Israeli military have been pilloried by the European media, public and politicians.
The anti-Israeli sentiments stand in sharp contrast to the atmosphere in the United States, where support for Israel remains generally strong.
