Editor's note. On April 10, pro-life President George W. Bush told an audience of about 175 lawmakers, pro-life activists, researchers and people with disabilities that cloning is a "step toward a society in which human beings are grown for spare body parts" and called on the Senate to ban all human cloning. The address was widely seen on television and reported in newspapers around the country.
