Twins manager Ron Gardenhire walked to the mound in the seventh inning to remove starter Matt Kinney - and couldn't have been more pleased to do so.
Kinney had gone after Cleveland hitters with aggressiveness that belies his experience. His season debut was successful as the Twins beat Cleveland 6-2 to move into first place in the AL Central after winning back-to-back games against the division leader.
The crowd of 30,146 shared Gardenhire's thoughts, as most rose to their feet with hearty applause while Kinney headed for the dugout. This was the second night in which a ...
