Apr. 24--When Nellie Buomberger's boss at DMc Engineering in Irvine recently said that he wanted her to write a letter, she immediately whipped out her steno pad and started taking it down in shorthand.
"I remember saying, 'Oh, I shouldn't take it in shorthand so someone else can read it,'" Buomberger recalled. "He said, 'No, no I'm glad you take shorthand. It takes someone else forever when they have to write it out.'"
