BEI ELECTRONICS AGREES TO PURCHASE SYSTRON DONNER SENSOR BUSINESSES
SAN FRANCISCO, June 4 /PRNewswire/ -- BEI Electronics Inc. (NASDAQ: BEII), a San Francisco-based technology company today announced it has signed an agreement to purchase for approximately $22 million in cash four of the six divisions of the Systron Donner Corp. from Thorn EMI. The transaction is expected to close in early July. In the most recent fiscal year ended March 31, 1990, the divisions being purchased had combined revenues of $48 million and represent for BEI a major expansion of its technology base in advanced motion and position sensing and control and smart sensors.
