PANASONIC DEBUTS MULTI-FUNCTION OPTICAL

DRIVE WITH DIRECT OVERWRITE FEATURE

ATLANTA, June 4 /PRNewswire/ -- At COMDEX/Spring, Panasonic Communications & Systems Company yesterday introduced the world's first commercially available multi-function rewritable optical disk drive that uses a newly developed phase-change technology to overwrite data in one pass, the LF-7010. The versatile LF-7010 can read and write on Panasonic's current WORM media as well as the new phase-change rewritable media. The unit is on display at booth No. 1714, East Hall, at the Georgia World Congress Center.
