ABIX via COMTEX) -- Social and celebrity magazine "Ocean Drive" was launched in Australia in December 2002. Its beginnings have been rather difficult. Stephanie Zacharia, creator of the magazine, says that the concept was not received with enthusiasm by publishers. ACP, Murdoch Magazines and Text Media rejected the proposal by Zacharia to launch an Australian version of the original "Ocean Drive", based in Miami (US). She had to rely on support from private investors such as Terrance Reddy, Chris Niarchos and Rudolphe Belin. Zacharia is confident that advertisers will support her magazine.
