AFTER seeing Hugh Grant in the quintessentially British Four Weddings And A Funeral, the role that catapulted him to worldwide fame, I first compared him with Cary Grant.

With the release today of another certain Hugh Grant hit, About A Boy, the similarities between the two actors - who combine charm and good looks with a mastery of comic timing - are becoming hard to ignore. Both were born in England, have similar Byronic sex appeal, look good in suits, and excel at playing well-heeled characters.

They're the kind of men who you'd expect to find driving an open-top convertible with a pretty girl in the passenger seat ...
