HAYFEVER season is upon us, a time when many gardeners desert their green haven to take refuge indoors, armed with antihistamine tablets to stave off the worst of the symptoms of watery eyes, runny nose and constant sneezing.
Hayfever is one of the most common allergies in the UK affecting 10-20% (around six million people) of the population, according to the National Pharmaceutical Association.
