LEXUS ES 250 HITS NEW SALES MARK AS DIVISION SALES TOP 5,000
TORRANCE, Calif., June 5 /PRNewswire/ -- The Lexus ES 250 set a new sales record in May and combined sales of the ES 250 and LS 400 topped 5,000 for the second consecutive month, according to sales figures released today by the luxury division of Toyota Motor Sales U.S.A.
Sales of 1,860 ES 250s were up 14 percent from April, its best previous month. Sales of the LS 400, limited by less than a 20-day supply, were 3,242. Lexus has now sold 39,688 cars since being introduced in September 1989 and 23,386 in 1990.
