THE Anglo-Spanish agenda over the future of Gibraltar is being stepped up, with the political chill factor becoming more pronounced as the Rock's inhabitants eye both London and Madrid with growing suspicion and hostility.
During a brief visit last week to the long-standing British dependency, I found that many Gibraltarians feel that the sooner they can have a referendum, in order to reject a sovereignty deal with Spain, the better.
