It may seem as if it's untouched by the world, but Glacier National Park is considered by some to be one of the 10 most endangered parks (out of 385) in the United States.
A recent list published by the National Parks Conservation Association, an 80-year-old environmental watchdog organization, puts Montana's Glacier among the top 10 parks at risk. The reason: "inadequate funding compromises the park's research and maintenance, and world-class wildlife populations and a biologically diverse floodplain ecosystem are threatened by exotic plants and fish invading park wildlands.
