Telecom major Telefonica reported a Soles$855mil result over the first quarter of 2002 (Jan - March) a figure 8,7% less than equal period in 2001. In February it has sold the telephone directory Paginas Amarillas to Telefonica Publicidad. Nonetheless, it reports over Q1/2002 a 10,2% increase on public telephone, 8% in cable television, 10,5% in corporate telecom, and 1% in local telephone services.
