Emap is bolstering its commitment to SMS marketing with its first wireless, marketing-based loyalty drive for motoring title Max Power.

The media empire, which last week declared its intention to open up its SMS database to third-party advertisers (PM last week), is launching a range of permission-based services for both Max Power's magazine readers and website users.

A large percentage of the 130,000 registered users of the site, www.maxpower.co.uk, will be sent information based on their individual profile in a bid to boost loyalty. The campaign will be conducted by Opera Telecom.
