Apr. 29--Roger Lamm will support any event that brings more business to downtown Roanoke. His preference is anything that leads customers near the Wall Street entrance of his restaurant, Tavern on the Market, in the Roanoke City Market Building.
That's why he pushed for an ordinance that Roanoke City Council passed earlier this month allowing restaurant owners to set up tables and chairs for outdoor dining. Al fresco dining is an initiative that lures more diners to downtown eateries and shops, Lamm said.
