Air transport from afar is slowly slipping back into Las Vegas. Foreign carriers are initiating and resuming service, and visitors are finding that travel does not have to stop just because the world is on edge.
Most recently, Singapore Airlines announced plans to offer three flights a week from Las Vegas to Singapore through Hong Kong. The flights will operate every Wednesday, Friday and Sunday starting Aug. 2, with flying time an estimated 18 hours and 35 minutes. The launch follows more than five years of intense efforts by the Las Vegas Convention and Visitors Authority (LVCVA) in courting the carrier.
