SYDNEY, April 30 Asia Pulse - Assistant Treasurer Helen Coonan said "several" companies were interested in picking up business from United Medical Protection (UMP).
However, she refused to name the companies.
"There are commercial insurers who are interested," Senator Coonan told reporters in Sydney today.
"I'm not at liberty to say (which ones), that's obviously commercial in confidence."
UMP yesterday announced it would apply to appoint a provisional liquidator.
