To the Editor:
I was excited by talk of making the expanded Carousel a "green building," with architects conferencing from around the country on how to create the largest indoor environment and keep it green.
I wish Bob Congel would consider some Native American influence. After all, the mall sits on what is reputed to be the site of the "Peace Tree," the legendary tree under which the Iroquois Confederacy was founded.
From what I understand, the warring tribes buried their weapons under the tree. Its roots of peace then spread east, west, north and south, spreading peace all the way to the Mississippi. It is ...
