A desire to work for himself and make his own hours led Greg Van Camp several years ago to open a store specializing in comic books.

Yes, thousands of comic books, books that regular customers are hooked on and follow for years in the very same way readers become loyal fans of newspaper comics.
It's the Comix Zone, on Route 11 (Main Street), North Syracuse, a store that hits customers with a visual overload of colorful covers of action figures and childhood heroes.
