May 3--A new downtown steakhouse to be operated by local restaurateurs Anna and Tony Leahy will open next month on Tejon Street's busy restaurant row.
Menu items at The Famous will include steaks, fresh fish and seafood items such as lobster and shrimp cocktail. A large drinks menu will be available and will include "cocktail style" drinks such as old-fashioneds and Manhattans.
"We're providing a space for a little bit more mature crowd," Anna Leahy said. "We like to use the word 'swanky.' "
