May 6--First Baptist Church of Dallas seems poised to make a $48 million vote of confidence in its own future ? and in the future of downtown Dallas. Church leaders unveiled plans Sunday for a new eight-story building that would offer Christian lifestyle amenities to downtown-area residents and workers.
The building, which would be built at San Jacinto and Ervay streets near the Arts District, would replace a parking lot and a building named after the late Rev. W.A. Criswell.
