Growing up in the '60s, I recall being accosted by pedophiles four times. None were Catholic priests.
Four is no record. I was a big kid, looking older than my age; not the charming sort. My brothers got more attention. We didn't talk much about it; it was icky, but part of growing up. Only recently has pedophilia become the social problem du jour. Some cultures--the Inuit, the Australian aboriginal--see genital manipulation of children as a part of their education.
