IS THIS THE WINE YOU ORDERED, SIR?
Christopher Fielden is a veteran of 30 years in the wine trade, clearly loves the trade and the product, so one may wonder, "whyinell has he written such a book?"
But relax, this is not a bitter indictment or, as he says, an "expose of the hidden secrets of the wine-trade." After all, even though he accurately chronicles wine fraud, falsity and even the selling of non-wine as wine, he continues to drink the stuff himself.
One of his beliefs, incidentally, is that the more laws governing wine (a la France's A.O.C.), the more fraud there is.
