Ken Kesey fans have come up with a great notion of their own. They'd like to honor Oregon's most famous literary son by renaming Broadway Plaza as Ken Kesey Square and placing a bronze statue of him there.
On at least one count, they'll get their way.
Interim City Manager Jim Carlson said Wednesday he's approved the statue for placement on the plaza.
The name change must go to the City Council because a council resolution named the area Broadway Plaza, Carlson said.
