Some who live on West Street in Oneida said their street has fallen into such disrepair that cars may "someday collapse in it," and they are demanding that it be rebuilt soon.
"We have watched the same roads being done year after year, and West Street is still untouched. We, the residents of West Street, are asking that prompt attention be taken in total repair of this road, not just more patchwork," states a petition containing 18 names.
The Oneida Common Council received the document during its regular meeting Tuesday.
None of the West Street residents spoke at the meeting.
