Some women walk face first through brick walls, said former National Public Radio host Linda Wertheimer.
"When you walk through holes other women broke for you, I hope you will be properly grateful," Wertheimer said Tuesday night, addressing the sold-out 15th annual recognition dinner for Wisconsin Women in Government at the Concourse Hotel.
Glancing around the hotel's second-floor ballroom, where banquet tables were jammed close together to accommodate the 900 people who turned out, Wertheimer marveled at the size of the crowd.
