Last month during a trip to West Palm Beach, Gov. Jeb Bush called for a strong commitment from volunteer groups and the business community to meet a goal of ensuring that all Florida students read at or above grade level by the year 2012. Bush issued his challenge as part of the Just Read, Florida! initiative that was started last September.
