ABIX via COMTEX) -- A three-year growth plan was released by Japan Tobacco in April 2002. Taizo Demura with Morgan Stanley believes that the forecast sales volumes by the Japanese tobacco manufacturer could be too positive, however, given the 2.5% yearly decrease in cigarette volumes experienced in Japan. Japan Tobacco predicts a yearly decrease of 1.5% in volumes for the three years but Demura believes that a decrease of 1.9% is more accurate.
