The Venezuelan Ministry of Energy has decided to put aside Exxon Mobil from the partnership to develop the US$2.21bil liquefied gas project Paria. Instead, it accepted the partnership of Qatar Emirate, in addition to Shell and Mitsubishi. Paria project is a more realistic proposal from the ambitious Cristobal Colon hydrocarbon program.
