Anxiety is a state experienced by nearly everyone from time to time. Anxiety disorders are the most common psychiatric conditions diagnosed in children and adolescents. Approximately one in every nine children has at least one anxiety disorder. This category of disorder includes a group of diverse conditions, with the common theme of feelings of distress leading to dysfunctional behaviors.
