Valuable ideas for city leaders wanting to take action on early childhood issues emerged from the first-ever NLC Early Childhood Municipal Leadership Academy.
Thirty-one participants from cities across the nation were competitively chosen to participate in this event on April 15 and 16 in Washington, D.C.
The Academy, hosted by NLC's Institute for Youth, Education, and Families (YEF Institute), included local elected officials, key city administrators and representatives of community organizations.
