Re: "Izzy's way or the highway," (April 15). I see the Great Voices of the Left in Toronto and elsewhere have now created the Canadian Journalists for Free Expression to save our freedom of speech from the perils posed by the Asper family of Winnipeg--Izzie, Leonard & Co. The Aspers write a weekly column for the Southam newspapers and insist it be printed, on the patently specious grounds that they own the papers. The Free Expressionists include, needless to say, Pierre Berton, Clayton Ruby and the prince consort, Mr. Saul, plus the whole leftward phalanx from Toronto. They want the government to pass more regulations controlling the press, in order to keep it free. Moved by ...
