SAN JOSE, Calif. _ On past Mother's Days, a bouquet of flowers arrived on the doorstep in Kelso, Wash. Years earlier, love notes written in a child's scrawl were strategically placed around the house.
Jason Schmidt never had a problem coming up with something for Mother's Day. Until this year. How do you tell your mother how much she really means to you? While you still have the time?
"That's what I'm trying to figure out," Schmidt said recently.
