May 13--East Grand Forks Mayor Lynn Stauss went on the offensive last week, arguing that Grand Forks should share a $1 million federal transportation grant it recently received.
The two cities applied together for $2 million last year to build a new downtown pedestrian bridge. But while their joint application requested $1 million for each city, in the end, Grand Forks got $1 million and East Grand Forks got nothing.
