SEATTLE -- Holland America Line (HAL) today announced it exercised an option with Fincantieri-Cantieri Navali Italiani S.p.A., to build a fifth 1,848-passenger Vista-class ship costing approximately $400 million for delivery in Spring 2006. Holland America Line is a unit of Carnival Corporation .
The first of the Vista class vessels, Holland America Line's 1,848-passenger ms Zuiderdam, will be delivered Nov. 15, 2002, and sail Dec. 14, 2002 on her maiden voyage, a seven-day Caribbean cruise from Ft.
