He's not an official candidate yet, but Timothy C. Lattimore of Auburn is wasting no time touting the platform he will run on in the Republican primary for the new 123rd Assembly District this fall.
Speaking in William A. Seward Park in Auburn last week, Lattimore said a key to local economic development "is right beneath our feet: natural gas."
"I chose to speak about energy in Seward Park because people called his proposal to purchase Alaska "Seward's Folly,"' Lattimore said.
"But no one is laughing today. Alaska produces millions of gallons of oil and a lot of natural gas."
